I don’t know that I’ve ever met anyone who didn’t like a good party. I don’t mean the drunk, stay out all night, migraine in the morning kind of party. I mean a good clean time with great people, good food and a ton of fun.
We like to throw parties at C3, the church I serve at. And I’ll tell ya, the one we threw this last weekend was EPIC.
As a church we celebrated 20 Years of living out our vision to provide “real hope for real people in a real world.” Our 20 Year Anniversary. It was the kind of party that you both laugh and cry at. There were so many awesome things happening, but there was also so much depth and meaning in that celebration.
20 years of loving, laughing, crying, serving, sweating, and worshiping does something in you, and this weekend made me remember something important – there’s always something to celebrate.
I’ve been at C3 for almost 13 of those 20 years, and I can tell you that not every season of the church was a happy-go-lucky one. We’ve been so blessed to have a beautiful history, but it’s not been without it’s challenges. However, one thing has never changed – it seems we have some kind of party at least once a month, no matter what season our church is in.
Psalm 118:24 says, "This is the day that The Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it."
So maybe you’re on cloud nine with us at C3, or maybe you’re in a bit of a pit. Either way, let me encourage you to find something to celebrate!
Today, I’m celebrating our first worship night last Friday, as well as the release of Real Hope Worship’s very first EP! It’s called Moving Mountains and you can purchase it on most digital platforms THIS Friday, November 2! See my "Music" page for more details.
What are you going to celebrate today?
